If you download the 7.x to 8.x database upgrade tool from the download page it comes with step by step instructions on how to upgrade you forum and database.

Version 8 is a complete re-write so you may find your mods do not work in the latest version.

Hello:
I have searched the forum for step by step instructions to upgrade from 7.97 to 8.03 for Access db. I can't seem to find anything that would help me. I may sound lame but really need the step by step instructions so I don't mess anything up. My main concern when doing this is loosing the mods that I created to go with my site. The URL for this is: http://baneoftheaegis.com/forum/default.asp. Can I upgrade without having to redo all of the mods? If not, then I guess I have some work ahead of me. Please direct me to a post or something that gives the step by step instructions of upgrading to the new version as I don't want to mess up my current forum. I use Access 2003 as well if that makes any difference. Thanks.
