    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 21105<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 22&nbsp;August&nbsp;2006 at 11:23am<br /><br />The web browser Opera 9 now supports Rich Text Editing (RTE) so I have updated the RTE that controls the WYSIWYG Post Editor in Web Wiz Forums to support Opera 9.<br><br>Opera 9's RTE API at the moment seems to be a bit buggy and quirky but the editor is working.<br><br>If you have Opera 9 then give it ago, it will work on both Windows and MAC.<br><br>Some know quirks:-<br><br>Although the code is in place to return the cursor to the correct place after inserting some elements like images, on the Windows version it doesn't always return control to the RTE area, and on the MAC it does usually return the cursor but not always to the correct position.<br><br>This is actually a problem within the browser itself and hopefully Opera will do more work on their RTE API as there are a number of issues with it that I have tried to workaround.<br><br><br>The Apple MAC browser Safari 2 now also supports RTE, but at the moment it's RTE controls are just to buggy to workaround and have allot missing from it's implementation.<br>]]>
