I've had requests for my the files that are included in my MODs, and I don't often share them files, just the changes, because the files are so heavily modded. I thought i'd be easier just to give them a zip or a rar of my forums.

The biggest problem is that it branches the development path, and the people making the modified version are very enthusiastic, for the first 6 months to a year, but with little or no money in it and the amount of time it takes up development eventually stops and people who are using the modified versions are stuck with old and often insecure versions they can not upgrade.
