Yes, in the Forum Administration page in the admin area it is possible to change a main forum to be a sub forum of another forum.

If you click on the tick mark under the sub forum heading for the forum it allows you to make the forum a sub forum.

I have recently upgraded my v 7.x to latest version. Also upgraded SQL DB using upgradation tool and it works well. No I want to create sub forums from existing categories and forums.
