I'd try another browser. If FF or Opera handle the cookies correctly, then it's an IE problem. It did work fine using the forum.domain.com url for 6 months before this happened and no modifications were made.

I think I got a corrupted cookie when the forum threw the error I mentioned at the beginning of this post. But for some reason I cannot get it out of my system now. I realize that explanation goes against just about all logic but it's all I got right now.

I check that too. In the admin panel the forum url is set to http://forum.domain.com

but it still dosn't work if I visit the forum at that address. Even with it set to forum.domain.com it only works for me if I use www.domain.com/forum

It's nothing like the URL of your forum in the WWF Forum Admin login, is it?

For example, it's set at http://www.domain.com/forum so when you visit using http://forum.domain.com the cookie is still trying to write for your forum at http://www.domain.com/forum

Im running IE6 sp2, I have deleted all the cookies and temporary internet files a couple times. It dosn't make a difference.

I'm not sure if it's affecting other users or just me. But it seems wierd that it wouldn't work on both my desktop and laptop. I guess it'll just have to be a mystery for now, it's very strange though.

If you're using IE, blow away the cookies and restart browser. If you've recently upgraded to IE7, and blowing away the cookies doesn't work, check out the MEIS newsgroup. it goes to the forum, and the forum runs. Looks like the DNS mapping at your host is broken.
When you use forum.example.com, does it go to a 404 page or to example.com?

upon further investigation I've found that the forum will work fine if addressed like this:

http://www.domain.com/forum

but not when I use the virtual subdomain like this:

http://forum.domain.com

I have always used the subdomain in the past, Why would this stop working all of the sudden?

Well, I called my hosting company and as I expected they told me that nothing has been changed on my server. The database drivers appear to be working fine, I have no trouble connecting to the databse.

I loaded up fiddler to take a closer look and I can see what I assume is the problem. The forum is attempting to set the cookie "WWF" on every response but for some reason the browser is not accepting it.

Set-Cookie: WWF=LV=2006%2D11%2D12+11%3A20%3A59&SID=ebbze5daz73ccf8bdca4za5ff1c9dzz4; expires=Mon, 12-Nov-2007 18:20:58 GMT; path=/forum

When I come to this forum the WWF cookie is included in the request and everything works just fine. When I'm at my forum the cookie is not stored or sent back to the server. I do remember sometime last week the clock on the forum was wrong and I had to set it back. I don't know if thats related or not.
