The forums whose topics appeared visible to the outside world were not properly configured (Guest had read access rights). That they were not visible in the forum index was due to the fact that they were sub-forums of a forum that was properly configured and hence did not show.]]>

This works fine if you go (so to speak) to the front door: when you’re not logged in, only the public forums show. However, if you click on the ‘active topic’ link, you also get to see topics in non-public forums, and you can even click on them and read the whole message! Also the RSS feed shows all topics to everyone. This seems to me that the backdoor is wide open!
