Just a thought, but might want to double check that it's this easy...
 
How about using 1 database, but each forum use a different table prefix?  Ie, wwf1_*** and wwf2_***
 
Then, search through all the forum files for any reference to the members table on your 2nd forum, and change to view wwf1_*** instead.
 
This way, any new users will automatically show on your 2nd forum too, and you won't have to continuously migrate users.

I've got a forum that I've successfully upgraded to 8.0.5. I've created another new forum (that's mostly empty) but I would like to use the same users as in the first forum, so that these users don't have to recreate their profiles on the other site. However, I don't want to simply overwrite the database since the structure of the forum is different.
 
Is there any way to do this?
