    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 22492<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 23&nbsp;January&nbsp;2007 at 7:30pm<br /><br />The web server itself IIS only allows file uploads of 2Mb max using HTTP, Web Wiz Forums supports this maximum amount.<br><br>The reason why Microsoft has done this is that uploading files via HTTP is not good as it places allot of strain on server resources slowing down all sites on the server while the upload takes place. Also files are likely to become corrupted uploading this way as HTTP was never designed for uploading files.<br><br>If you want to upload large files you should look at other alternatives like a pubic FTP account to allow your users to share files.<br>]]>
