The two functions are different ones is an unsafe character strip and the other an alpha numeric character strip. I've found two "Private Function characterStrip" in your code. Thought why they are there.

?

Pages are functions_common.asp and functions_filters.asp. what happens when a call to the function happens where both files are included?

Is this a bug?
