Or put simpler LOL, as I think your question was looking for this answer.

There is NO additional icon (like you used to get for the upload option).

The "tree icon" in 8.05 does both image links and uploads (if enabled).

So instead of 2 icons for upload & link - You just get the 1 icon now which is capable of doing both.
