Author: jwoodyu
Subject: 23085
Posted: 12 April 2007 at 3:01pm

So here is what I found, The ability to reach the web site via http://statelinerc.com is function the provider has added to DNS. I have not idea how but it works. The problem was my subdomain was "forum.statelinerc.com" and the path was the root of my hosing account/fourm or "statelinerc.com/fourm" which made the relative path wrong lowering it one level to many. By setting the path for my sub domain to the root of my hosting account everything works great, problem solved. I added an index.html with a redirect to www.statelinerc.com at the root level so now both http://www.statelinerc.com and http://statelinerc.com put you at the new web page were all the links to the forum are set to the subdomain/forum which is http://forum.statelinerc.com/forum and it works great.

The WWW moved to a dif hosting account with the page developer. We kept our hosting and forum wear it was all along. There is now a link on www.statelinerc.com that points to forum.statelinerc.com which is a valid sub-domain and points to the same source directory as before. Now here is the rub. When you put http://statelinerc.com/forum in your browser everything works np. If you put http://forum.statelinerc.com/forum in your browser everything works BUT uploaded AVs. Well as far as i know every thing else works so far.

So why is that and how do I fix it.
