    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 24037<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 31&nbsp;October&nbsp;2007 at 8:17am<br /><br />A number of users has issues because they upgraded to a beta 9 version, which were intended for testing purposes only, and/or they used third party mods which altered the database schema. <br><br>This meant when the final version 9 was released that they have ended up with incompatible databases with incorrect datatypes set, and missing database fields, coursing the issues that you have mentions.<br><br>The only thing you can do now is download the latest version and go through every table checking every field is there and set to the correct datatype.<br><br>And in future please stick to the official advice, which is do NOT use beta test versions on a live web site, and do not use 3rd party mods which change the database schema, unless these 3rd party mods follow official guide lines and prefix any database changes with the letters MOD.<br>]]>

I disabled "strict mode" in the my.ini file and a lot of the problems went away.<br>You may also want to make sure you have the latest version of MDAC installed on your system, assuming that you're a Microsoft user. Maybe a better fix could be suggested if we knew which OS, type or version of web server, and forum type you were using.<br><br><br>]]>

If this field isn't in your database version 8 shouldn't have worked either.]]>
