I'm afraid that this is not compatible with the admin area login system due to the extra security which can not be removed without allot of recoding.

The built in admin account still functions as a standard login account, but can only access the admin area.

This means that when using Windows Authentication, if you need to login into the admin area you only have the one admin account to do this, and you need to use this account to login to the admin area.
We use NT Logon which I'd guess is what is causing the problem with a password conflict when trying to access the forum control panel. As this is an Intranet forum we don't need the high security of the extra admin log on for Forum Administration, Is it possible to switch off the extra level and allow admins full control of the forum including forum management without the need for the extra log in. I am using moderators for posting control and all members are classified as staff (Posting and replies) or Guests (Viewing only). With no Ladder promotion. I think I may be waffling by now, Hope I've explained it right and

Thanks in advance for your help
