There appear to be circumstances under which the number of posts field on the author record are not updated. Somewhere along the line (possibly in a previous version) the deletion of threads has not been reflected in this count so several counts were overstated and strangely one was understated and actually read "-1".
 
I have corrected these manually but suggest that the resync topic and posts count includes a quick sql routine to reset the author table too.
