Author: Tammi
Subject: 24840
Posted: 16 November 2007 at 6:33am

Hey Tomas!

Hope I can be of some help, as I'm also kind of new to WWF.
At minimum, successful integration is going to require a very good grasp in HTML and CSS. It would also be of tremendous help if you understand ASP (which I don't).

First, if you use Firefox, I would strongly recommend downloading and installing the Firebug add-on. This thing is such a powerful tool to break down a web page's elements down to the HTML and CSS command. I also highly recommend downloading and installing Colorzilla; this allows you to use an "eyedropper" tool right on your browser to identify the hex color codes to implement in your site editing.

Once you get these tools, it's going to be largely a matter of trial and error. I'm still in the process of integration myself, but from what I know so far, it's going to require hacking through about 20 or so web pages to get it completely redone. Just get started and ask smaller questions as you go along... start navigating through various pages on your forum and take note of the filename at the end of the URL (the main page is named "default.asp"). After creating a backup of that file, then start tinkering with that page. Once you're finished, move on to the next page.

Aside from that, I don't think it's going to be possible to tell you just how to do it unless you give some more specific examples of just what it is you want to know...

Edited by Tammi - 16 November 2007 at 6:35am
