Author: treklightgear
Subject: 24938
Posted: 03 December 2007 at 6:44pm

I have a newbie question about the functionality of Web Wiz and I'mhoping someone can help.

I'd like to setup a forum on my current sitebut what I'd like to do is have an entry page that works as a sort ofintroduction to the forums and what it's about. I'd like that entrypage to be mostly a "normal HTML looking" page but with a small forumsection at the bottom. Essentially what I'd like to do is have the pagetell people about the community and what they'll find inside the forumsand then at the bottom have a 'Best Of The Forums' section whichhighlights what I consider some of the best threads from the forum.

What I'm hoping to do is create a separate section within my main forumcalled 'Best Of' and have just that section display on thatintroduction page. From an administrative standpoint, whenever I want athread to appear on that introduction page I would just move it fromwherever it exists in the main forum into the 'Best Of' section. Isthere anyway to do this? The basic question I suppose is whether it'spossible to isolate one specific section of a larger forum and haveonly that section appear on a separate HTML page within your site.

Any thoughts?
