just for reference

the variable stated can be found in the set up file within the includes folder.

this variable is used to encrypt or not to encrypt passwords. it is advised to encrypt passwords.

I need to use the forum with my current site, I am trying to integrate the two.

Checking the code I can see references to the variable: blnEncryptedPasswords
Does this check if the forum will encrypt the password or not ? How/where can I change this value ?
 
Will it be easier to change my script to encrypt the passwords in the same way or will it be simpler to disable encrypting of the passwords and implement my own technique.
