You also mention SQL version, there isn't an SQL version, there is a mySQL and a SQL Server version.

Check that you are using the correct database version.

We are trying to upgrade our access database to sql. After creating the database with the utility, we uploaded the new database connect to our webhost. 
 
On our local servers the old code pages work with the new database connect file, as would be expected, but on our hosting server (godaddy) we get the following error.
Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occurred while connecting to the database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_db_connection
File Name:- common.asp

Error details:-
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Invalid connection string attribute
Even with the unedited, straight-from-the-box SQL version, we get the error. Any suggestions?
 
Our sql server host is on a separate hosting account than our website and forum. I would be reluctant to state that's its the SQL host, as we can again connect locally.
