An Alpha release is the first release and usually not released to the genreal public and is for more in house testing.

A Beta release is usually a secound release and is a test release thatothers like partners, other users, and sometimes the general public cantest.

This site is currently running an Alpha version which is not yet released to the general public that supports sub forums.

Expect to see subforums in version 8 when it is released sometime this summer.

I asked this question a few months ago before version 7 was released, but I just want to make sure it still is not possible...

Is there no way to create a sub-forum? That is, a forum within a forum?
