Remove lines 726 and 727 of the file forum_posts.asp that read:-

'Display the num of posts
Response.Write("<br />" & strTxtPosts & ": " & lngAuthorNumOfPosts)

Some users on our forum post rubbish just to increase their postcount.  It's a kind of street cred kind of thing.

Is it possible to disable the post count system? 

I presume I can modify one of the ASP pages to remove the bit of script that displays it.  Any pointers?
