All of the recipients that I sent a PM to have now viewed their messages. So for number 2, the answer is No, the first confirmation e-mail does not disable the real confirmation e-mail when the intended recipient views their PM.

The first issue is still outstanding. A read confirmation e-mail should not be sent back to the author of a PM when they view it in their own outbox. It's definitely confusing.

Thanks for looking into this, Bruce!

(Which of course I did not send to myself, but another user.)

I have two questions on that:

1) Is that normal behaviour to tell myself that I have read the message I sent?

2) Does that nullify the e-mail confirmation from being sent when the actual recipient opens the PM?

Thanks!
