There is no limit to how many forums you can have. We are thinking of setting up v7.01 in the following configuration and I want to know if the number of forums will affect the application performance:

  • 200 users
  • Less than 10 concurrent
  • SQL Server 2000
  • Windows2000
  • IIS 5
  • Assume single web server of moderate capabilities (I don't ahve the specific specs)
  • Running on an internal data network that is fairly robust
  • Planning on having 35-40 forums

Any guidance that can be provided with re to expected performance would be appreciated. Any tips re limiting number of forums or specific configuration settings that will enhance or degrade performance will also be appreciated.
