Chill...</P><P>I fixed the problem by using the convert_db.asp file that I found in another forum posting. This was needed to convert my 7.01 to 7.5x. I did look at most of the postings before i did the conversion. <BR><BR>All is good now.</P>]]>

This brings back the content, and allows me to login, but if I try to goto the admin section, then I get that message.</P><P>Heres something strange, if I go into a forum, it shows me all the information, ip, ect, like I"m a forum admin. i can also click on profile and edit their profile, so it's like I"m in, but I"m not.</P>]]>

Seems to work just fine, but when I log in as the admin, it allows me to log in, but won't let me in the admin console. I get this error:</P><P><SPAN class=lgText>Sorry, only members with sufficient permission can access this page.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN class=lgText><FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">I 've really dug in too far, and I have a full backup of the old system, so I could go back without any issues.     <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=13410">sladewilson</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 7086<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 07&nbsp;November&nbsp;2003 at 11:41am<br /><br /><P>My forum has been up and running for about 2 months.&nbsp; I've been posting messages and changing Forum Properties with no problem using the admin interface.&nbsp; I have not made ANY changes to the .asp code whatsoever nor have I changed anything on the server.&nbsp; I am running Access 2000 version on IIS 5</P><P>Here's the problem:</P><P>I can not access my admin screen.&nbsp; I get this error message when I click on the ADMIN button:</P><P><FONT face=Arial size=2>Provider</FONT> <FONT face=Arial size=2>error '80004005'</FONT> </P><P><FONT face=Arial size=2>Unspecified error</FONT> <P><FONT face=Arial size=2>/forum/admin/common.asp</FONT><FONT face=Arial size=2>, line 159</FONT> <BR><BR>It all began when I created a new Forum and called it PRIVATE DISCUSSIONS via the admin interface.&nbsp; I began adding permissions for a couple of members to access this new forum and when I tried to delete the permissions from just ONE of the members I got the error for the first time.&nbsp; Now I can't access the admin page at all.</P><P>The forum still works fine... the connection to the database exists everywhere BUT IN THE ADMIN AREAS... even weirder - SOMETIMES... not all the time.. but sometimes I can get the admin page to come up if I edit the URL from this:</P><P><A href="http://66.83.118.125/wwf/forum/admin/frame_set.asp" target="_blank">http://66.83.118.125/wwf/forum/admin/frame_set.asp</A><BR><BR>to this:</P><P><A href="http://66.83.118.125/wwf/forum/admin" target="_blank">http://66.83.118.125/wwf/forum/admin<BR></A><BR>But even then I can't get any of the links that appear on that page to work either.&nbsp; I swear NOTHING HAS BEEN CHANGED in the ASP or on the SERVER! </P><P>Any ideas?&nbsp; I'd hate to have to re-install this whole thing.&nbsp; I have tried to repair the database using Access&nbsp;2000's COMPACT AND REPAIR UTILITY but that does not help.&nbsp; <IMG src="https://forums.webwiz.net/smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0"></P>]]>
