I posted to this moderated forum just a few minutes ago. I figured out what I did...(like they say, leave them alone long enough and they'll figure it out by themselves).
 
What i did was added to the default_style.css the code for my scrollbars which included the background color for the website. That's where it was getting the color from.
 
I took it out, it's all good now. Thanks anyway.

Ok, here's one for you
 
The WYSIWYG Box is ok, it's the color I want. Problem is the text box inside of it (where you type a message for a new post or reply to a post). 
 
in the skin file I have #cccc99 for the WYSIWYG box.  The text box inside of it is returning the color #999966, which is the background color of my website.  I'm not sure how/why that's happening. I don't want it to be #999966. I want it to be some other color.
 
The only things I customzied is the default.css and skin.asp that comes with the forums. I didn't modify any code or anything or any other files. What, in those two files, would be affecting the text box like that?

You could use CSS and apply it to the text box.

This would require editing various files.

I changed this variable in the skin file to black:

Const strIETextBoxColour = "#000000"

That took care of everything except for the Quick Login.  The Quick Login still displays white text on a white background.  I played around with several of the other variables, but can't seem to get that to change.  How can I either change the background or text color for that?

I set my background to black and text to white.  Problem is that many of the forms now use white as the default font so you can't see what you are typing unless you select it and change the font manually.  I need the default font for form fields to be black.

Is there a quick and easy way to change this?

It looks like most forms use the .text font in /default_style.css.  I added a .text2 black font to that file, but I can't figure out where you change the class="text" in the HTML source code.  The forms just seem to have one include file after another.  Does anyone have a breakdown of where I need to change this?
