    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=12115">wistex</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 7950<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 10&nbsp;December&nbsp;2003 at 8:11am<br /><br /><P>Sorry for the dopuble post, but I remembered something important:</P><P>To create a moderator group, do the following:</P><OL><LI>Go into the Admin area.</LI><LI>Go to Group Administration.</LI><LI>Create a new group.</LI><LI>Then go to the Group Permissions Administration.</LI><LI>Assign the new group moderator rights in the forums you want the group to moderate.</LI></OL><P>Alternately, you can use the Membership Permissions Administration to give a user moderator rights regardless of what group they are in.</P><P>Hope that helps.</P>]]>

For example, they cannot post, edit, etc... unless I type the following line in common.asp</P><P>If intGroupID = 2 Then blnModerator = 1</P><P>The problem is that I assume there is something is wrong since I assume that your code already takes care of it. If not, is this a bug. If indeed, there is no problem, then what have I setup wrong.</P><P>I do have a Moderator group with group_id = 2 in tblGroup.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Also, when I try to setup the permissions for the Moderator group, oh boy! Once I check the "Moderate" checkbox, the whole site's administrative options become exposed to any Guest user. Then, any visitor to the site can actually function as an admin.</P><P>Help!</P>]]>
