    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=14503">shelton1</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 8458<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 08&nbsp;January&nbsp;2004 at 8:17am<br /><br /><P>Yes,&nbsp;that sounds about right. </P><P>I went to the database folder right clicked --&gt; went to Security --&gt; then clicked add --&gt; then clicked the button to the right,&nbsp;Object Types --&gt; then selected group or user (can't remember which) --&gt; and then typed in IUSR_mymachine name --&gt; then clicked check names --&gt; and it found it.</P><P>Interesting point!&nbsp; After I got the forum running I moved it to another computer (Server).&nbsp; Evidently, the database folder retained these settings because I didn't have to mess with it again.&nbsp; It worked straight away. I&nbsp;only needed to adjust the path to the forum within the configuration options.&nbsp;</P>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=14503">shelton1</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 8458<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 02&nbsp;January&nbsp;2004 at 8:18am<br /><br /><P>Well, the closest I can find to IUSR_machineName&nbsp; is IUSR_mypassword.&nbsp; I typed in IUSR and clicked check names and IUSR_machineName is not in the list, but IUSR_mypassword was.&nbsp; Nonethless, it didn't work.</P><P>Also, I have made sure that simple file sharing is turned off.&nbsp; </P><P>Stumped!</P><P>Interesting Note**&nbsp; Before messing with the permissions, I was able to get the index page to come up.&nbsp; I then tried to go into admin and ofcourse that is where I got my first 500 error, but after that I can't get the index page back up.</P><P>&nbsp;</P>]]>

The entries are 'ASP.NET Machine Account ( AG083922\ASPNET )' and 'My Name ( <A href="mailto:username@domain.com" target="_blank">username@domain.com</A>&nbsp;)&nbsp;'&nbsp;</P><P>This is where I'm stumped. When trying to view the default.asp page, this is my error.</P><P>Error Type:<BR>Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80004005)<BR>The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file 'C:\forum\admin\database\wwForum.mdb'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.<BR><B>/forum/common.asp, line 249</B><BR></P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P>]]>
