    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 8662<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 09&nbsp;January&nbsp;2004 at 6:11am<br /><br />I'm afraid you can't.<br><br>Anything viewed in a browser like images need to be inside of your www folder.<br><br>Olny things like databases can be outside of this folder as in the caseof databases it is the server that access this and sends the data to anasp file in your www folder to be displayed.<br><br>The only solution you have is to get your host to set write permissionson the upload folder in your www folder. But ONLY your upload folder,you don't need write permissions on the whole www folder. If your hostwon't do this your only option is not use this feature or get a new webhost.<br>]]>

The write folder (data) is at the same level as the www folder but is mapped virtually &amp; actually exists on another drive. </P><P>I've tried writing the entire path (virtual http) to get the images to upload but no luck. E.G. <A href="http://www.mysite.com/uploads" target="_blank">http://www.mysite.com/uploads</A> (which is a virtual http path resolving to o:/isp/rootdirectory/mysite/data/uploads or something like that. </P><P>Is there something special I need to do to use the http path? Do I simply use the full path in the function upload.asp file?</P><P><IMG src="http://www.b&#111;nsaichat.com/uploads/dirstructure2.gif" border="0"></P>]]>
