   <title><![CDATA[2 Domains sharing 1 forum issue : Alright here is my situation....]]></title>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=14819">TimDalton</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 9526<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 04&nbsp;February&nbsp;2004 at 12:36am<br /><br /><P>Alright here is my situation.&nbsp; I have a domain hosted with a forum that has been running for about 7 months.&nbsp; <A href="http://www.ruthbarr&#102;ormayor.com/forum" target="_blank">www.ruthbarrformayor.com/forum</A> </P><P>I bought a different domain name and using DNS I have used Web forwarding or cloaking to link to a sub-folder of the site I mentioned above.&nbsp; The domain is <A href="http://www.hapeville.info" target="_blank">www.hapeville.info</A>&nbsp; the physical path that this domain is cloaked/forwarded to is <A href="http://www.ruthbarr&#102;ormayor.com/info" target="_blank">www.ruthbarrformayor.com/info</A>&nbsp; I want to link both domain names to the same forum at <A href="http://www.ruthbarr&#102;ormayor.com/forum" target="_blank">www.ruthbarrformayor.com/forum</A> </P><P>If a user goes to <A href="http://www.hapeville.info" target="_blank">www.hapeville.info</A> it will not allow them to login, throws an error about cookies and such.&nbsp; I searched and found the answer that the end users have to make a setting change to allow 3rd party cookies.&nbsp; Is there a way to edit the security settings to make this happen without having the end users change their settings.&nbsp; I envision editing the code to allow a specific domain the rights to pass like the original domain.&nbsp; I am not a ASP programmer nor do I understand exactly how cookies work.</P><P>I have setup a test acct: User:testacct Pass: test</P><P>Hopefully someone can offer some suggestions.&nbsp; Thanks in advance</P>]]>
