account suspended when changing user to admin

hi,
 
i have a 8.05a version of the forum up and running in hebrew... all seems to work fine...
 
the person i set up the forum for now wants to be an administrator...
 
he is already registered on the forum so i entered the control panel and changed him to an administrator in the profile.
 
now though when he logs in it says his account is suspended.... i've checked in his profile and i'm sure his account is not marked as suspended...
 
is there anything i'm doing wrong here?

8.05a is quite an old version now, you should upgrade to the latest version 9.06 and see if that fixes your issue. I'm sure that is problem was fixed quite a few versions ago.

i did look into upgrading but i didn't see any hebrew language files available for it....
 
i think i managed a fix for it by deleting the user and getting him to re-register... it does look like its working ok for him now, though obviously it wasnt an ideal solution...
 
i'll keep checking back and look forward to upgrading once someone has done a hebrew translation :)
