It was working fine then one day it broke. People log in with their AD usernames and they get to the site, but they're logged in as guests. When they go to post, they get permission denied and sent to a login screen where they can't login.

I tried it with a test account and I have to click "Delete cookies set by this forum" to get recognized as a AD user. If I go in and delete the account and try again, I have delete the cookies again before it recognizes me.

It says "The Newest Forum Member is jaycer" but then shows me as a guest in the Active Users list.

What is going on?

What's really bizarre is that myself and a few others can post just fine. It's a compete hit and miss. The users are being put into a default group which has permissions to the forum.

This is kind of ridiculous. And why is this board an approval-only board? It takes forever to get approved, time in which others could be looking at the post.

Support in this forum is given for free and not a priority, if you have purchased a license and/or have support then you should fill in a support ticket from your Client Area account as support tickets are usually answered within 20 minutes during business hours.

As to the issue you mention, as this has only started happening and you have not made any changes to your forum it sounds like a server issue. It could be that the anonymous users access has been re-enabled fro the website and so users are not running under their AD account, or it could be a session issue.

You also did not say which version you are running, so it's difficult to give more advise without knowing first?

Anonymous access is not granted. What are some session issues you are aware of? I am getting cookies just fine, and the site is in my trusted list. I'm running version 9.68.

Dang it! I was working in it just fine, then I logged in as admin, changed permissions for another user, then clicked Control Panel Logout, clicked "Delete cookies set by this forum" and now I'm back to domain\username detection. Arrrrggghhhhh!!! AngryAngryAngryAngry

Ok, I figured it out........ For some reason the User_code for my account in SQL was populated with username_randomjunk instead of of domain\username. I deleted the erroneous domain\username "username" out of SQL, set the User_code to domain\username for my real account and deleted my cookies and it returned to normal.
