It seems I have an issue with the admin link on the main forum. If I click it I get the "Sorry, only members with sufficient permission can access this page." error.
 
I have removed all cookies and cache and even waited a couple of days just to make sure. It happens no matter if I'm logged in as the admin with FireFox or Explorer... what could be wrong?

Have you tried logging directly into the admin area?

Go to the admin folder and log directly into the admin area and see if that works.

Of ten problems like this happen to Access users who move their database and forget to update the common.asp file in the admin area and are therefore attempting to use two databases.

Yes sir, I can log in directly.
 
I did move it, and I did forget to update the common.asp... but it is the SQL version... hmmm.

only thing i can suggest is re uplaoding the files as it may have become corrupt.

also make sure the cookies are correct within the two common.asp files.

as this may account to being able to login directly as it sets the cookie value stated within the admin cookie file not the main forum file as it uses that on the main login page.


when you have logged in via the admin area .. when you click forum are you logged in ok still ?

I had this problem until I realised that the cookies names in common.asp and admin/common.asp were different. Once I'd changed them to the same I can go straight to the Admin area via the forum's other pages.
