Admin Logon

It's bad enough that I have to log on a second time as the admin to perform admin duties, but why do I have to log on EVERY time? When I navigate back to the forum, then back to the Admin I have to logon EVERY TIME.

The admin login is also done in this way to be more secure due to prevent hackers gaining access to the admin section and defacing whole sites and deleting entire forums.

If you do a search back about a year ago now when this system was introduced in 7.9 many more full length explanations where given and users at the time expressed that they preferred the extra security over convenience, especially since once the forum is setup the admin area very rarely needs to be accessed.

Before the feature was bought in having the same login as for the main forum as for the admin area meant hackers where able to certain feature that are convenient to all users (for security I do not want to go further) to gain access to the admin area, from their they where able to manipulate the forum to allow unsafe uploads, from there they where taking out entire forums and web sites. Since this system was introduced reports of hacking are virtually nil, instead of being a daily occurrence.

So what would you rather have, having to log-in directly to the admin area which is infrequently used, or run the risk of having your forum and site hacked? I know which one I prefer.
