Got a quote from my provider today. They said it will cost approximately $120 per month with 200meg of space to host this kind of forum on a sql server.
I am looking to find the best price and reliability.

Seems pretty expensive, comes out to just over £50 a month. Check out gearhost.com, $25 USD per month for 500mb space and 30gb bandwidth.
I used gearhost for nearly 2 years, only been a couple of incidents, I would highly recommend them.

Are you looking for a dedicated server or will shared hosting do?
And does it have to be a Canadian provider?
EDIT: I used Gearhost for some sites for 6 months a couple of years
ago. I thought they were ok for a devloper's site or for casual sites
but not up to hosting production business sites. There were some
relaibility issues but the deal-breaker for me was unreliable
information. They'd announce something would be available in two weeks
and a year later it would still be due in two weeks. Tough to pass that
info along to a client.
Some of the people in their support forums though were top-of-the-line.

$120/mo CA's not bad for a dedicated server with mssql but not with 200
Mb. Downright robbery for shared hosting unless they have some
elaborate 100% uptime scheme.

Dedicated MS SQL goes for $200.00 to $250.00 per month on 1 processor
and $400.00 or so for 2 processors. $120.00 for 200 MB? Complete
insanity. You can get 2,000 MB at WebHost4Life... for $9.95... But
then, they do have a few issues, but they aren't that bad. I'd
recommend them for small sites.

Oooops - I just thought... Those dedicated prices are for licensing...
you'll need a server to go with them... Still... 120 is expensive.
