	I have noticed that the approval only works for reply posts but for new topics there is not approval, is that correct? if yes, why?

	Post approval works for new topics as well as posts. Make sure the person making the new topic doesn't have permission for their post to be displayed. Also, please note, that the person who made the post and/or topic can view their topic/post even if it has not been approved, incase they need to edit it.
