This is just crazy, 8 choices (well actually just 6 but for Europe) of Windows Vista? They are nuts.

Well one of the betas had 20 versions hidden inside a system file, that would have really been bad.

Also bear in mind that almost all of the versions listed will also have a x64 version.

I believe the N versions cost the same.

Microsoft was forced to make Windows-media less players by the EU. N versions are actually slightly problematic as some programs use the WMP APIs to play music.

Although IMHO there aren't any good alternative for WMP on Windows.

to comply with the EU reg.. they will remove the WMP from the front end.. but they cant do it entirely from the OS.. bcuz many system components are dependent on it...so i am sure deep down somewhere in the system, u will find it hidden.. just as u can still find media player 6.4 hidden in the XP system

also they can change the name from windows lets say to nindows.. and then it will be a whole new product therefore windows laws will not apply to it.. ahhahahah

how about

Window Vista sucker edition

Windows Vista Spy Edition - MS gets to know all ur activity and reports to DoD

Windows Vista European Edition - without media player

Window Vista Saudi Edition - Does not display pictures of women, cannot browse websites releated to human right and women issues

Windows Vista Adult Edition - for all porn addicts contains one button evidence cleanup feature

Windows Vista Linux Editions - Got KDE and Gnome like UI. For all windows bashers linux lover who cant actually use linux

Windows Vista Secure Edition - Does not support TCP/IP cannot connect to internet hence secure..

Window Vista h4xor editions  - Uses hackerese language for all writtings..

Windows Vista Business Edition - Contains backdoors for companies to monitor their employees

I think that would be really funny.

Quite easy to do as there are already some Microsoft themes out there.

You could even add some fake buggy AD programs.

Ideally you could create a vista look alike theme.
