    Posted: 24 December 2005 at 11:12pm

Dear friends

I bought 3 years ago a script where part of the ASP is coded with strange characters like (LC\Cd1DrwDE@#@&DndaWxdnch.kDn,JW!x1YkKx,Ak NGhcWUsKlNvb.....). Unfortunately for me the guy who sell me this script desappear and I do not have any support since six months. I need however to change things and therefore I would like to know if there is a possibility (soft) to decode part of the of the script in order to have access into the code and modify what I need to.

Thanks for the help

PS: FYI, at the top of the relative page the following code is visible
<%@ LANGUAGE = VBScript.Encode %>

The developer encoded the script that is a weak defense, it only works against an average user, if you want to invert the code obfuscation check out these two links, they'll help you.

Charles

Your are great. It works perfectly. I can now modify the code to fit my application. I do believe that you are aware about programming therefore I take my chance to ask you another question. In the same script some functionalities are operating through a "dll" file. How I can have access to the original script and make the "dll" file visible for corrections?

Thanks again
