I've just installed the new version of the Web Wiz Forum... things are working fine EXCEPT the RSS feed stuff. I do have this enabled in the admin setup area. I get to the page, RSS_topic_feed.asp, .... no problem there. BUT no feed info appears at the bottom of the page.. sort of like that page reader doesn't see the XML.

Also, subscribed in my Google Reader.... nothing there.

I recall in the past when I was doing some RSS/ASP coding, the provider had me change the extension of my xyz.asp page to something else... like xyz.rss... and that solved the problem. Think it has something to do with the ASP not configured to recognize the XML tags/etc!!???!!

Is there any solution that I can make in Web Wiz to solve this problem?

Thanks.

If you rename the file for .asp to .rss then it will not be parsed by the server and so would not work. The RSS files in Web Wiz Forums already set the header to application/xml so that the web browser knows that it is XML it is dealing with and not HTML or XHTML.

If no feed information is appearing then I beleive you are saying to doesn't show any of the posts.

The RSS Feed will only show posts from a public forum that non-logged in users can see. So make sure that you have public posts available in your forum.

That was exactly the problem. If I had backed away and thought about what an "RSS Feed" really is, it should have been obvious.

Thanks for the quick response... it is very much appreciated.
