Speakers don’t normally pick up nose (substantial noise) unless they are amplified after the lead to them or remote kind that transmit the sound without cable to the headphones. If you are getting interference it could be from a bad connection from the PC to the headphones, the sound card or a device like a mic plugged into the card. If you are taking the output of your sound card into you stereo and then into your headphones then yes you could pick up interference. I always use the best leads you can get like gold plated to connect from sauce to amp as this is always the point where you will get interference. You can get this type of lead from a good HI FI shop.
Sennheisser equipment is one of the best you can use and this should not be your problem, all the same check the jack plug as you may have a dry joint. A good tip is to clean all sound jack plugs from time to time using a pencil rubber rubbing it over the jack cleaning all oxidisation from it making it shine.
All this I have learnt from doing sound engineering in North Wales UK for shows like 42nd street and more.
Hope this helps
