Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while uploading file/image.
Please check the Asp Smart Upload Component is installed on the server.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_create_AspSmartUpload_object
File Name:- functions_upload.asp

Error details:-
Server object
006~ASP 0177~Server.CreateObject Failed~800401f3
 
my server guys say that they fixed the problem and that the ASP component is installed at their end...what could be the problem???

I think you need a folder on your server to receive the uploaded images (such as avatars)  with write permission on it too - on the older web wiz I had a folder called   forum_files which had a folder in called 'avatars'
 
I don't see this folder on the sql8 set-up, im wondering also how to get mine working as it did on old version  . . .

This error means that the upload component you have selected from the admin area is either not installed on the server or not installed correctly.

This error happens when you try and create an object using a component that is not installed or not installed correctly.
