	hotlinking is other sites linking to your images and using your bandwidth, you mention you have alot of remote linked images, are you saying you link to alot or lots of people link to your images on the server. if so this maybe the reason. as they are using your bandwidth , (hotlinking)

	Doew your host offer any log stats program AWStats or webstats? They can tell you what files are being served most frequently and provide bandwidth numbers. Another thing would be to check your directories to make sure that you don't have one left open that the warez folk are using to stash pirated/adult stuff for download.
