Is there a chance that to get longer usernames in next version? I talked whit some few friends, and we agree that the is one of the best, if not the best, but... we all find usernames to small, speciely to clan-names... Can the usernames be longer in the furture?

My problem now, is that I maybe have to find another forum. I will try to edit the 2000-database version. But if I fail, then I cant use it. Unless somebody else will help me out...

Just change the length of the field in the database and change the maxlength of the corresponding input form on the registration page and that should allow the length of the usernames to be as long as you wish.

I got it to work on my notebook whit iis on, but server still teasing my... I still got to get the new server up...

But can I get over 25 characters? It will work, but I would like to get it up to 30...

But Im glad now

boRg; Do you why I cant get over 25 characters? I have set the database to 99 characters now, and regitrations-files to 45, but I cant get over 25...

You need to change the trim statement in the register.asp file:-

 If strMode = "new" Then strUsername = Trim(Mid(Request.Form("name"), 1, 15))

Also this will need to be change in the login_user.asp page and possibly in the pm_buddy_list.asp page, and the member searching pages as well.
