When I edit this:

http://www.nettipsforum.dk/topic20485_post127616. - http://www.nettipsforum.dk/topic20485_post127616.html

and save my edits the forum tells me:

500 - Internal server error.

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

I wonder why?

It is a very long post.

I suspect that this is the problem as the ASP Response object which is built of of form data, cookie data, browser headers, etc. is only able to handle up to 100KB data.

If your post combined with the above comes to more than 100KB the ASP Response object will be overloaded and throw an Internet Server Error.

You may need to shorten the post or split it across multiple posts.

It isn't possible to adjust the maximum size of 100 KB to for instance 300 KB?

I believe it is but requires changes to the IIS web server. It's been many years since I looked in to this but I believe there are other issues related to stability or security that it is set to 100KB.
