I have done nothing to the DB or ASP code, but this morning I am getting this error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file '(unknown)'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.

/dcsp/test/includes/conn.asp, line 4

Does this mean that the sysadmin did something to the permissions on the server?

It could be that it is just locked out. Depending on what version of Access just delete the ldb file or run a compact repair

I've set the view options to "show all files" and "show system files" and i don't see the .ldb file.

and, i went so far as to delete the whole DB folder and i still get the same error (even when there is no .mdb file)

<update>
I can't find the IUSR_computername account, so i'm guessing that the sysadmins removed it, therefore anonymous users can't access the database...
</update>

That would eplain the error i guess...

They just informed me that they did an IIS security update, which caused this mess.

Anyone have an idea of what the security update did to cause this?

when i used Request.ServerVariables("LOGON_USER") it used to return the logon name, but now it returns nothing...
