Firstly a great job Borg, thank you for the excellent Rc1 !

I have a small problem whereby the forums etc are displayed exactly as they should be, as are the titles of the posts. But trying to open the actual posts gives an error that the post cannot be found. Also when creating a post this generates an error but still adds the post to the forum.

Thanks in advance

What are the error messages that you are getting?

And is the post actually being entered into the database or just the subject?

The error message that I am getting is telling me that the 'page does not exist'

I can see the posts within the database but seem unable to open them when selecting the post title.

When entering a new post, the post etc are entered into the database (Access) but gives the 'page not found' type of error.

I think it must be something to do with the exsting database as when I use the blank one included in the zip.. everything works properly.

Thanks again

Does sound like an issue with your database, for what version is the database you are using?

Also, if you turn off friendly HTTP errors messages in IE you will get a descriptive error message instead of the generic; page can not be displayed.

It is Access 2000 and I have a generic error page on the domain and the hosts have an error at the mo so I can't take it off.

Is there a way of importing the data from my existing database into a clean db ? I have tried it but it didn't work properly.

Ta very much

The following sometimes works, but is not recommend in usual circumstances and you should back-up the database first.

If you re-run the database upgrade tool, it will show lots of errors, but it should re-populate the database with the correct data for the Topics table, thus correcting your posts not displaying issue.

A great big thanks to your greater self. The upgrade to rc1.1 has cured my database problem.

Many many thanks
