The image is created on the fly by calling the ASP file, CAPTCHA_image.asp

This file will run the same way as any other ASP file and needs no special permissions.

Try reuploading the file again incase the file has become corrupted.

Try doing the same as this:-

http://forums.webwiz.net/CAPTCHA_image.asp

and calling the file CAPTCHA_image.asp in your web browser, if it fails to run it should give an ASP error which will give an idea as to what exactly is wrong.

If you use IE you may need to disable Friendly HTTP Errors first.

If you had password encryption disabled in 7.01 the passwords will remain untouched during the upgrade.

What you need to do to disable encrypted passwords is to edit the file 'includes/setup_options_inc.asp' and disable the password encryption were indicated in the notes in this file.

Next problem is again CAPTCHA_image.asp :(
as i need to include a file whit funktions i use around the forum.
thet file is messing up the CAPTCA :(

the erros are like this.

DescriptionVariable is undefined: 'strReferer'
Location/include/asp_forum.asp line 10

in my file /include/asp_forum.asp line 10
i have this: strReferer = Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_REFERER")

thats some thing i use. other places.
why is thet messing whit the CAPTCA..
