Hi!
I know that wwf 7x isn't supported. But the problem does not seem as the version problem. I need your help!!!
I have a few 7x different forums (Access) running on my portal for about 3 years and one 9.0 version (MS SQL) running for about 6 month.
Since yesterday CAPTCHA has stopped working in all(!) 7.x forums. In login form and new topic form all these forums let the error message - CAPTHA did not match!!!
Thank you in advance for any ideas
 
P.S. There are no any problems with CAPTHA in 9.0 MS SQL version on the same portal

This sounds very odd.

The issues you describe sound like session issues, although seems odd if 9.x is on the same site that is not effected.

If this is a server you run yourself you should check that the application pools for the forums are not recycling prematurely and that they are running in a single worker process. If you are using a web host contact them to see if there are any issues on the server with ASP sessions.

I have just upgraded to forum 9.53 (from 9.06), and I was able to logon to the admin.asp control panel one time.

Now - I can no longer logon (after closing browsers, expiring sessions, using different browser, etc).

The message I get is:  The Security Code entered did not match that displayed.  A new security code has been generated"

WWF 9.53, SQL Server 2005.

Any ideas?

I found the fix -

In my Application Pool in IIS, there were 2 worker processes configured.

I set this back to 1, recycled the app pool, and now CAPTCHA is working again.
