1. CDONT's not registered.

2. SMTP not installed/not started under IIS.

1. from a dos prompt, enter

regsvr32 cdonts.dll

giving the complete path to the dll.

2. In XP, do Start-Control Panel - Administrative Tools - IIS

You should see Default SMTP Virtual Server. If you don't, you'll have to install it from your Win CD.

IIS amd SMTP are listed under "Services" in the MMC. I have SMTP set up for manual start instead of automatic start as a security precaution. Only start it when I'm doing development related to email.

Cdonts was superceded by cdosys almost two years ago now, thats why it isn't on your machine.(Assuming your on xp).

You could well be breaking the licence agreement with xp if you install this, but thats your problem

Cdonts.dll
