Hi,
 
I modify my header and footer.asp file to enclose the forum in tables. This was done to facilitate a navigation menu and  spaces for google ad..:)
 
That worked perfect. However, I need to change the outer background of the page to a different color. How can I do this..? I try chaning the skin file, re: background color but that change the color of the entire page. I need the forum color to stay the same. I just need to change the color outside of the table. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest upgrading to version 8 as it uses CSS for the look of the forum which is much more configurable and more powerful.

Do you have the instructions for the upgrade. I already paid for the 7.x version. Is there additional pricing for the upgrade..?
 
I am assuming my header.asp and footer.asp will be the same...

Upgrading is free.

There is an upgrade tool available in the download page, there are instructions in that on how to upgrade the database, then you just replace the ASP files with those from the latest version.

Your header and footer files should be able to remain unchanged.
