Zonealarm pro suite keeps us alive. Kills more viruses than any other antivirus ive ever used (about all of them). Stay clear of norton... The last antivirus I used was norton, switched to zonealarm and zonealarm found almost 50 that norton never found.

I'm not a big fan of Norton either, but in your case I think I have to defend it a bit..
Norton's biggest problem is the extreme use of resources, not the viruses. If you remember to update, it will catch most of the viruses just like all other AV software, but there might be some viruses Norton doesn't catch, that for example ZA catches, AND vice versa..
Most likely it's your fault Norton didn't get those viruses..

Norton was updated almost on a daily basis. The amount of viruses left behind is pretty extreme. It's not my fault Norton didnt pick them up.

I use Mozilla. I run Panda's active scan once a week, I run housecall once a week. I have ad-aware, spybot, and spywareblaster.

I have no installed anti virus solution. I deal with about 200 emails a day.. I haven't been infected in more than 2 years.

If you understand how they get onto your machine, you can STOP doing things that get you infected.

The best you can say is that you haven't been aware of being infected in more that two years. -  LOL
Personally, I've never found a virus infection on any of my machines and only one spyware infection. I believe however, that it's more prudent to assume that I am infected by something more clever than either me or the security software companies.

We can only think we're safe, we can't know it. Hardware and software diagnostics only detect what they know about. Viruses spread at increasingly astounding speed these days which often exceeds the capabilities of the security companies to respond before millions of machines are infected.

Earlier this year, I found an email with the google virus two hours before the security companies diagnosed it and 3 hours before a fix was released. I ID'd it because it didn't fit my normal received email profile but the message was constructed in a manner that many people would have considered normal for their incoming email.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.
