You have not said which product or services you are referring to but our hosting supports SQL Server 2016, while our web applications will work with SQL Server 2016 and also with the upcoming SQL Server 2018.

How about web-server software?
Newer versions of IIS is a real pain in the ass to set up.
Can you recommend any alternatives that hurts less?

Not sure why you think newer version of IIS are hard to setup, I think it is much easier and more secure than it use to be.

You would need to use a Windows IIS web server to run Web Wiz Forums.

I have also moved this topic to the 'Web Wiz Forums' forum so that it is in the correct forum.
